Hannah Ellowitz
Hannah Ellowitz (she/her) is a New York-based actor and vocalist. Since earning her BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University, she has since been performing across the country with regional theaters including Short North Stage, Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, and Connecticut Stage Company.
Hannah grew up performing with the Florida Children’s Theatre before earning a full talent-based scholarship to the prestigious American Heritage School as a Music Theatre student in their renowned Fine Arts Department. From there she attended Elon, where she also worked to earn her minor in Jewish Studies. Hannah was also grateful to take time and train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) where she studied classical acting.
Hannah has received multiple awards for her work onstage, including two consecutive YoungArts Honorable Mention Awards for Theater, in addition to two South Florida Cappie Awards for “Featured Actress” and “Best Song” for her performance in Godspell.
Hannah is a frequent performer at some of the city’s most favorite hubs for industry pros, such as Feinstein’s 54 Below, The Green Room 42, and Chelsea Table + Stage. She is known to attend (and if you’re lucky, she’ll sing at) jam sessions around some of Manhattan’s most hopping jazz clubs. Her favorite gigs as a vocalist are with her partner and jazz pianist Nathan Keffer.
When not on stage, Hannah is likely either binging Housewives and Vanderpump Rules re-runs, SoulCycling, or listening to Big Sean’s Tiny Desk. Hannah is proudly Jewish, and passionately works as an active member in fighting anti-Semitism at home and abroad.
